Poster presentations • Poster has to be in Monday night December 6, for 2 simple reasons • Will be printed on Tuesday 7 • Jury will come together on Tuesday 7 • Posters that are not in on time will not be printed, not be graded, and do not compete: • Consequence: Late posters will be considered a “re-sit”

  3. Poster-presentation • After next weeks lecture we will all move to the Hall in the G-building, where the posters will be hanging. • Make sure that there are at least two people at your poster-board, to explain its contents • Everybody is expected to move around, watch the posters, discuss etc. • The chairman of the jury, Maarten Brouwer from DGIS, will ask some specific questions to each group when looking at the posters

What you SHOULD know • Two different motives for aid • Moral ambitions: • Individual potential • Right to development • “sustainable Development” • Self-interest • Money • Power • Increased trade • Safety and stability • Reduce migration flows • Selfinterest as general interest • GLOBAL PUBLIC GOODS!

  7. What you should know Major shifts • From UN – channel to bilateral (self-interest!) • Proliferation of NGOs Coherence -Aid-trade • Fiscal policies • (trade-negotiations)
