  1. What are the post revolution norms or expectations of Iranian societal institutions such as schools, religion, families, and government and how did they impact the citizens of Iran, the U.S., and the rest of the world? By: Reagan Manning

  2. Politics- • Young diversely thinking population • Liberalization is happening • Independence from government is becoming more of a general want from the citizens Ethnic- • Very diverse • Large Kurd population • Kurds control much of the decision making in the country.

  3. Equality- • Feminism is occurring more • Gender related issues are being seen more in the political agenda Economy- • Oil based • Import dependent • Wasteful • Mismanaged

  4. Impact on the U.S. and other parts of the world… After the revolution, relations between Iran and the U.S were tense because the Iranian government was upset that the U.S. harbored the Shah and the U.S. was angry that Iranian hostiles kept Americans hostage. Relations were very damaged.
