  2. Bus information • Starr Bus(2) to and from JFK 6/22 and 7/1 • Leaving at 11:45 from West parking lot • You will receive a passport holder/lanyard • Please assist the bus drivers in the U.S. and in Spain

  3. WEST/south flight information *If you have a special dietary request, YOU must call the airline one week in advance

  4. East flight information *If you have a special dietary request, YOU must call the airline one week in advance

In the airports… • When we get off of the bus at JFK there will be a group check in • We will all go through customs together and then there will be another group check in • We will have one more check in at the gate • During the layover…another check in • At the next gate…guess what? • All students will be polite and mindful of other passengers!!! You are representing Central Bucks

A word about hotels… • Always know the name and address • Hotels in Europe are smaller • These hotels have hairdryersand bidets • Outlets are NOT the same voltage • There are usually only 2 keys per room distributed, plan well with your roommates • Travelers will pay if there is damage to a room* • Meal portions are usually smaller than in the U.S. • Lunches are not included

Itinerary • Day 1 – Depart JFK 6/22 • Day 2 – Arrive at Barajas and bus to Salamanca 6/23 Lessons in Salamanca Daily 9-12 • Day 3 University of Salamanca (Gray) Study Abroad (Grosse) Survival Spanish (Gever/MCV) 6/24 • Day 4 Ávila (Gray) and Products of Spain (Poblano) 6/25 • Day 5 Paella (Howard) and Flamenco (Yanishevskey) 6/26 • Day 6 Aqueducts of Segovia (Hutchinson) Regions of Spain (Schwartz) 6/27 • Day 7 Madrid: Bull Fighting (Caughie) The Prado (Divita) 6/28 • Return to Madrid • Day 8 Madrid Sightseeing – Palacio Real, Prado Museum 6/29 • Day 9 – Las Ventas Bullring and Flamenco Evening/Farewell Dinner 6/30 • Day 10 Depart Barajas 7/1 *Bring your composition books!

Student reminders • Do not wear ear buds while the guide is talking on the bus or out on tour • Try NOT to use the bathroom on the bus • No student will be rude, obnoxious or show a lack of respect during any part of the trip – be aware of the space around you! • Listen first, take pictures later • NO SELFIES WITH ART!!! • Be very careful when crossing streets • Be cautious of people selling you grass, herbs or asking you for directions • When we have free time, no student will be alone. • When we are together, immediately find your chaperone and wait for instructions • Curfew is 11:00 • No members of the opposite sex will be permitted in your rooms • Phones/calls/texts (viber, oovo/skype/facetime) • Random room and luggage checks • Bring CB stuff!

More student reminders • Bring sunscreen, hat and sunglasses • Pack lightly (see EF packing list/luggage 25” less than 50lbs) • Attendance at all scheduled activities is mandatory • Be on time! • Bring student ID • Notify your bank and credit card companies that you will be in Spain • Watch your belongings • No smoking or illegal activities • Bring a battery operated alarm, camera OR phone not both • Bring a bathing suit…just in case • Dress code (religious sites, no flip flops,walking shoes) • Pee/eat when you can – there are days when we will be running from 7am-11pm! • Don’t buy too many souvenirs • Customs forms

Project • Do research now, while in Spain and afterwards • Submit your guiding question BEFORE we leave • Presentations will take place in your schools in September – date T.B.A. • Speak Spanish!!! We are giving out cash $$$ for students who speak Spanish not only with us, but to each other and even better… with real Spaniards! • Parents – follow us on smore.com
