  2. “Together we will take a radical new approach to recruitment and skills. The Partnership will set the agenda and pioneer new approaches to training development, delivery and assessment that will yield the skills the sector needs. By investing in talent the Partnership intends not only to solve its skills shortages, but also to create jobs and help the whole economy”.

  3. Priority areas • Youth employment, including: attraction, work experience and Traineeships • High quality Apprenticeships and other programmes e.g. first line managers • Flexibility in design, delivery and administration • Enhancing procurement practice and supply chain collaborations • Trade and growth through skills

  4. Sector involved and three year targets The sectors involved are: • Energy Supply/ Efficiency – including gas, power, energy assessment and installation, housing • Energy Production/ Distribution/ Transmission – including gas, power and renewables • Environmental Sustainability – including water, waste management and recycling Three year targets: • 5500 - Apprenticeships • 7730 - Traineeships / Youth Entrant Programmes • 6573 - Up-skilling / Reskilling Programmes

  5. Goals • At least 20,000 learners of which • at least 5,500 will be recruited onto Apprenticeships • at least 7,700 into Traineeships or Youth Employment programmes • at least 6,000 current employees will be re-skilled • Of our learners at least 6,800 will be classed as not in education, employment and training (NEET) or at risk of becoming so when they start our programmes. • We will provide work experience for at least 6,000 young people to help them prepare for employment. • Through our careers/ employability support, at least 64,000 young people will have had high quality face-to-face careers/ employability support led by employers. • As a result of the Partnership, through the annual employer survey, at least 80% of employers in the Partnership will say it has improved the effectiveness and value for money of the skills system.   8. Conclusion & close After three years the Partnership will have delivered at least: • 5500 - Apprenticeships • 7700 - Traineeships / Youth Entrant Programmes • 6000 - Up-skilling / Re-skilling Programmes Collaboration is power
