Vision Our vision is to be the university of choice for military personnel, veterans, and their families. Military & Veterans programs will assist the students it serves in a seamless transition from military to civilian life, support and encourage campus and community engagement, and help provide a positive experience through degree completion and on to a successful future.

4. Texas Tech’s GreenZone What is it? Advocate training for advisors, staff, and faculty designed to help campus staff: • Know where to direct student veterans for additional support both on/off campus. • Understand difficulties that service members may face in transition from the service to campus.

5. Learning Outcomes Campus staff will be able to: • Describe the current veteran population at Texas Tech. • Summarize the benefits available to students. • Recognize issues commonly experienced by student veterans. • Identify referral resources available for student veterans.

6. Military Friendly At the end of GreenZone training, campus staff are given “GreenZone-Military Friendly Area of Operation” decals to displace in their office/area to show they are dedicated Texas TechGreen Zone Advocates!
