How to Find SAILS TIPs • Type QEP in the RSCC webpage search box • Click on Faculty QEP Website (comes up first) • Click on « Teaching Idea Post » or www.roanestate.edu/qep/tip • Click on Faculty/Staff menu bar tab • Click on « QEP Website » in the Faculty Resources list • Click on « Teaching Idea Post » or www.roanestate.edu/qep/tip

  3. How to Log on to SAILS TIPs • Type your regular RSCC Network Username in the Username box • Type your regular RSCC Network Password in the Password box • Click on the Login Box

  4. How to Browse the SAILS TIPs • You can browse the full selection • You can browse by Subject or by Study Skill by clicking on the categories listed • You can browse by a specific criteria by typing it in the « Search » box

  5. How to Submit Your Own TIP • Simply click on the « Submit your own TIP » link. • Fill out the TIP section boxes. • Click « submit. » • You can edit or delete your own TIP. Simply open up your TIP and click on the « Edit » or « Delete » links in the upper left corner of the page. (You will be prompted to verify your decision to delete.)

The Value of Sharing TIPs • See ways that colleagues are helping students achieve similar learning objectives. • Get ideas for new classroom and/or homework activities. • See how colleagues are assessing the effectiveness of teaching/learning strategies. • Find additional teaching/learning resources related to the TIPs. • Find similarities among different disciplines. • Reflect on ways in which you might improve teaching and learning.
