Product History • PEPID started by board-certified physician: Mark Rosenbloom, MBA, MD, FACEP • American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the Royal Society of Medicine • Kept detailed notes in lab coat pockets • Saved notes into “PDAs” (Personal digital assistants) • Expanded into medical and drug resource for colleagues • 1st version of PEPID was developed in 1994 with advisory board of over 35 board-certified physicians and pharmacologists. • Today, PEPID is the “number one developer of medical/drug information and decision-support tools.”
