  7. Set the Compass on the Route

  8. Line up the Guider Lines with the Grid Lines

  9. Remember to ADD the Magnetic Variation

  10. Walk on the Bearing

  11. Take a Bearing on the Physical Feature

  12. Remember to TAKE AWAY THE Magnetic Variation

  13. Place the Compass on the Physical Feature on the Map and Line up the Guider Lines with the Grid Lines
