  4. Development ConsiderationPoints of Website Design • 1. We wanted to make sure the site could be maintained with any development.(Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc) • * Developed and Tested in both. • 2. We used Javascript to create professional elements like the sliding navigation bar and the accordion menus. • * Javascript is easy to maintain and can create very sophisticated elements. • 3. We unified the look and feel of all pages with a single template. • *Allows the client to completely change the look and feel of the site with by changing one page.

  6. Does It Work? Validating Our Code • We used two different validation services to check • our site for errors. • W3C Markup Validation Service • Validator.w3.org • WDG HTML Validator • Htmlhelp.com/tools/validator • Both returned 19 errors after validating the site • Some doc-type errors • Some end tags for elements that were not open • (e.g. </p> with no <p> open) • A repeated id tag that was already defined • No character encoding • Once we reviewed the information, we were able to correct these errors, and ensure that our was running as it should be.
