The UC Robot Team participated in the 2009 International Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC), focusing on learning through hands-on experience and enjoying the journey with friends. Our team achieved remarkable success, claiming multiple first prizes totaling $3,500 in a competition against 37 teams. We tackled complex autonomous challenges, including line following and obstacle avoidance with GPS navigation. Our innovative designs utilized advanced technology such as stereo vision cameras and laser scanners, showcasing our commitment to robotics and eco-friendly initiatives.
