Treasurer’s Report Bill Kneller • Report extracted from J/30 Class Account where SNE funds are held • $ 749.13 - Starting Balance Jan 1, 2013 • $13,943.34 – Expenses: $200.00 - 2014 NBYA Dues, 2013 NBYA Dues $12,837.29 – 2013 J/30 NA Expenses $ 391.00 – 2013 J/30 SNE Annual Meeting Expense $222.95 – Jay El Trophies for SNE Regional Regatta $ 292.10 – PayPal fees on all SNE Paypal income • $17,634.00 – Income: $ 500.00 – 2014 SNE Region regatta Registrations $17,134.00 – 2013 J/30 North American Income (Registrations & Sponsorship) • $ 4,189.79 - Ending Balance 31 Mar 2014

Class Membership Bill Kneller • J/30 Class Membership Required for One Design (OD) Racing • Dues Optional but encouraged • Dues $50 / Year Owner - $25/Year Associate – $10/Year Youth Membership • Your Dues Support • J/30 Class Website, J/30 Forum and J/30 Marketplace • US Sailing Class OD Membership • J/30 North American Trophies • All Owners in Class Database emailed message with link for membership renewal • Dues can be paid via credit card, PayPal or Check • Online membership renewal encouraged, or print website form and mail it in • SNE District dues - $0 due to surplus from hosting 2013 North Americans • J/30 Forum – big benefit for you and it is free to register and use • J/30 Apparel available on-line through agreement with V-Sport • 20% discount on US Sailing Membership & 50% discount Boat US Membership • J/30 Flags available online • Remember J30.org – you can find everything from the menu there

Board of Governor’s Report Mark Rotsky • BOG meeting held 25 July 2013 at Barrington YC before J/30 North Americans • Financial Report • Total all accounts were discussed and SNE District had $13,618.43 as of 30 June • Dates for future J/30 North American Championships • 2014 Cedar Point YC – Long Island Sound District (Sep 11-14) • 2015 Northern New England District to host – possibly Hull YC. Date TBD. • 2016 Chesapeake District to host. Date and Club TBD. • No Elections of Class Officers : - President – Bill Kneller - Secretary – Dave Irwin - Treasurer – Carl Sherter - Chief Measurer – Charlie Stoddard • Report from Class Measurer • Nothing new to report

Board of Governor’s Report Bill Kneller • A motion passed that the Executive Board confirm the US Sailing Burgee Program cost and establish a policy that would cover loaner boats for J/30 Class regional and national events. • A perpetual sportsmanship trophy was being initiated by the Southern New England District and provided to the J/30 Class that could be awarded annually to a class member. The criteria is purposely not specific to allow maximum flexibility by the board in determining the circumstances to make the award. The initial award was made to John Howell "Good News" for his persistence and continued support for the J/30 Class.
