    3. Introduction : le PIB et ses facteurs. Le produit intérieur brut (PIB) mesure la « valeur totale » de la production d’un pays. C’est la somme de la valeur des produits vendus. Plus le PIB est élevé, plus un pays est riche. Ceteris-paribus, il est souhaitable d’être plus riche que plus pauvre. Note : « riche » n’est pas nécessairement synonyme de « heureux ».
