  3. (x+7)(x+4) • Outside= multiply the the first term in the first binomial by the last term in the second binomial. (the two terms that are farthest apart) • 4x

  4. (x+7)(x+4) • Inside= multiply the last term in the first binomial by the first term in the second binomial.( the terms that are closest together) • 7x

  5. (x+7)(x+4) • Last= multiply the last terms in each binomial. (highlighted in red) • 28

  6. (x+7)(x+4) • Answer: • x2+4x+7x+28 • Combine like terms • x2+11x+28
