Two Overlapping Tracks • PFF prepares students for positions in academia • PFP prepares students for positions in business, industry, and research centers • Both tracks require a physical and electronic portfolio • Workshops can be combined from both tracks • Both tracks lead to transcript notation

Two Tracks Overview of PFF Overview of PFP Prepares those not entering academe for careers in business, industry, and research Compares responsibilities in different settings Helps transition academic skills to workplace Advantage when applying for a position • Prepares masters students for teaching in community colleges • Prepares doctoral students for teaching in 4 year institutions • Introduces role of a faculty member • Increases success as a teacher • Advantage when applying for a position

RDP • Prepares students to be successful in securing funding through grant making activities • Students write grants to receive research or support awards • Four half day seminars on grant writing • Identification of funding sources • Individual assistance with grant writing • Mock reviews of their grants • Help with submission of grants to funding agencies
