Chemistry … life and ideas. When I close a book I open life. I hear faltering cries. And the water throbs with fish, thighs, the chalk ribs of the shore. And the whole of night clings to its shores, by dawn, the scaly forms of lizard-lion. And wakes up singing, arousing in the calm.

Tranquil, with minuscule eyes to see – and to think
