  1. How to install plantation shutters Plantation shutters have become very popular due to their ease of use, attractive appearance and effective protection against the elements. If you plan to buy plantation shutters, we hope you will be happy to give a new look to your home through an easy installation process. When doing things like collecting the right tools, making sure that the frame is even and aligning the shutter panels with the frame, you will have your own planting shutters installed immediately. Installation of frame Put the frame together. Each blanking frame must be in four pieces. To assemble them, use the plastic connectors that must be delivered with the shutters and gently tap the connector into the slot in the frame parts with a rubber mallet. Make sure your frame is even: the left and right sides must be connected to the top and bottom sides. It is very likely that the parts are labeled, which makes the job easier. Touch the sides on each connector until they are aligned. Know if you are installing an interior or exterior support. If you are installing the shutters inside the window frame, make sure that the window is square and that there are no latches, handles or anything else that could disturb it. If you install the shutters outside your window, you will place them directly on the wall. Whether you choose an internal or external support, you will change your measurements; see the instruction manual of the planting panel to make sure you are doing the right thing. An outdoor installation works best for panoramic windows because it offers more mobility. Secure the top of the shutter frame to the window with screws.

  2. Take the frame and place it in your window. If it fits well, place the frame on the window by inserting two screws into the top of the frame with a drill. If your frame has pre-drilled holes, you can insert the screws in them, but be sure to place only the highest ones. The lower part of the frame must always move freely. It is useful for a second person to hold the frame in the window while inserting the screws, or vice versa. If your frame is not suitable, it means that the frame has not been assembled correctly or that its initial measurements are incorrect. Make sure the frame parts are connected and even. If you think you have submitted incorrect measurements, call the sealing company and ask for advice. Use a level to make sure that the sections of the frame are the same. Use a level to verify that each side of the shutter frame is level. For easy installation of the shutter panels, you must ensure that your frame is level before continuing. Hang the panels Know which panel corresponds to which image. If you are installing multiple seeding plugs, look for the panel corresponding to your frame. All its parts must be labeled, which makes the task very easy. To avoid confusion, you can have in advance each table and panel that you combine. If there are labels on the frame or panels, save them until you have finished installing the shutters completely. Use hinge pins to install the panel. Lift the panel up to its frame and use hinge pins, which must be part of the hardware provided with the shutters, to secure the panel to the frame. Place a pin on each hinge to join them. If you cannot insert the pins into the hinges, you can loosen the screws on a hinge, move it a little until the pin is put in place, and then replace the screws. Adjust the panels and the frame until they are aligned. Open and close the panel door to make sure it is aligned with the frame. The frame must always have downward mobility, therefore, move the frame from one side to the other until it is flush with the panel. There should not be large spaces or unequal sides. You can use the level again to make sure everything is configured correctly. Insert the other screws into the bottom of the frame.

  3. Once the panel and frame are aligned, you can fix the frame by inserting the lower screws and the remaining screws. Drill the screws carefully; checking each time the panel and the frame are always aligned and straight. Cover the holes in the frame if necessary. Many plantation shutters have small capsules that you can fill with drill holes. If necessary, cover each hole in the frame with these covers, but not covering the holes will not have any impact on your shutters. If you need more information visit Plantation Shutters
