  2. Supplement to TR3246 • During the ground transfer gear durability module teardown inspection, 2 possible quality issues were noticed. Module NAH 04 224 0036 • 1)  On the loaded side of the balance shaft rear bearing journals, triangular indentations were once again present.  I understand previously these were traced to handling damage when the shafts were gauged. • 2) What I would consider to be "excessive flash" around the FCV flow windows in oil pump housing 3.  There is certainly more "flash" present than some earlier production parts, enough that my eyes were drawn to it during disassembly. • The purpose of this supplement is to show with the aid of photographs the area of concern.

  4. FCV Windows in Oil Pump Hsg 3 Module “KRR” 04 162 0057 Ground gear durability module “NAH” 04 224 0036 Jagged material break in every window – even the small “full bypass” window. Material break much cleaner
