In1876,Renoircompletedthepaintingof"BallattheMoulindelaGalette". Atthattime,MontmartrelocatedinthesuburbsofParis,whereleisureand quiethillscoveredwithvineyardssurroundedbysomevegetablegardens.And thereweresomemillsandscatteredwindmills.Oneofthewindmillswas belongedtotheDupreefamily,buttheytransformeditintoanoutdoorcafe suddenlynamed"TheballoftheMoulinStreet"atthattime.Perhapswhen onethingisrare,itbecomesprecious.Thereputationsofthiscafespreadlike

Aftertenyears,VincentVanGoghwholivedabroadinPariswasalsodepicted variouslandscapepaintingoftheMontmartrehillsinthethemesof thiscafe.TheMontmartreinVanGogh'sworksstillremainsthefull-bodied andpeacefulhillswiththeruralfavors.Afewyearslater,"LeMoulindela Galette"wascompletelydifferentunderthebrushofHenride Toulouse-Lautrec.Ithadbecomeaplacewhichexudedvulgarodors.In addition,PicassowhocametoParisfromBarcelonalivedinthevillageand alsocompletedaworkonthesametheme. PicassogotinspiredfromtheworkofRenoirwhichwasbequeathedtothe museumsixyearsago.Theimagesonhiscanvaswerenolongerthe unaffectedmenandwomenattheageofRenoir,theywereallgentlemenand ladiesentertainedthemselvesfromthegames.The30yearsoldPicassowas addictedtoalcoholandnolongerinterestedinthefeelingsofthepeopleatthe cafe.TheMoulinRougeinhispaintingswasdesolateandmiserable.
