  4. What are The Analects? The Analects is a book containing Confucius’s ideas and a record of conversations between him and his pupils. It was written long after his death. Lesson 2 -Confucius and His Teachings

  5. 3. PHILOSOPHY • System of beliefs and values that became known as Confucianism. • Believed in passing on teachings in order for rulers to reform (change). • He hoped to bring peace, stability, and prosperity to China. Lesson 2 -Confucius and His Teachings
