  2. Temperature Range • Ranges up to about 20 C down to freezing.

  3. Annual Rainfall • At least 200cm of it, perhaps up to 350 centimeters in warmer areas. • Average is above 0 C. • Warmest is around 20 C.

  4. Location (latitude) • Located mid-latitude; between 23.5 degrees and 55 degrees North and South.

  5. Vegetation (Plants & Trees) • Beeches can reach up to 40 mt tall and have a large foliage. • Aspens are medium size trees that can reach up to 25 mt tall.

  6. Animals • Eastern Cottontail Rabbit • Chipmunk • Northern Cardinal

  7. Human Impact • Humans negatively impact on the biogeochemical cycles in the ecosystem, and the nitrogen cycle and the phosphorous cycle.

  8. Net Primary Production • Temperate Evergreen Forest 1300 gC/m2/yr • Temperate Deciduous Forest 1200 gC/m²/yr

  9. Culture • Warm all year long, close to the equator. • Almost made of two types of trees, deciduous and evergreen.

  10. Limiting Factors • Human Factor • Building of mountain and forest communities as a result of urban sprawl. • Allelopathy • Certain plants' ability to affect the soil acidity and nutrient composition around it.
