The Center for Bioinformatics (CBI) at Peking University, founded in 1996, is dedicated to enhancing bioinformatics research and training. Located within the College of Life Sciences, it features 600m² of dry lab and 100m² of wet lab space. Funded by national scientific bodies, CBI supports over 10,000 simultaneous users and offers a robust computing infrastructure, including an IBM cluster. The center provides over 20 biological software packages, data updating tools, and serves as a hub for international bioinformatics collaboration.
