In 2007 Label Technology Inc. became 100% employee owned through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). We currently employ 110 employees and operate three shifts. • Our Mission: After 25 years in business, Label Technology’s reputation for quality and service is unparalleled. 3. JD Edwards Footprint • Originally installed EnterpriseOne 8.12 -2007 • Financials – GL, AP, AR • Purchasing and Inventory • Sales Order • Work Orders • Custom Estimating • Originally installed DSI v6 - 2007 • dcLink – Inventory moves, material transactions, bar code labeling, product tag labels • TimeTrac – Time and attendance • Upgraded to EnterpriseOne 9.1 and DSI v7

  4. Reasons for Upgrading • Staying current with Enterprise Applications • JD Edwards EnterpriseOne • DSI – dcLink, TimeTrac • Utilize new ease of use features in 9.1 • Reduction of clicks (i.e. printing) • E1 Pages • 9.1 is more user friendly • 9.1 is more user intuitive

  5. Project Overview & Timeline • Planned a Technical Upgrade • Set up new virtual environment for 9.1 • Selected to lead the project • Timeline: 3/1/13 – 6/3/13 (67 business days) • Completed project on-time and under budget

  6. Challenges • Leveraged our power users for testing. That means every team member had two jobs. Our employees rose to the occasion! • You can’t do enough testing. We actually delayed our go-live to complete an additional Mock Go-Live and it was a great benefit

  7. Recommended Upgrade Practices • Develop an upgrade plan. In our case the scope was for a technical upgrade. • Communicate the plan to the project team. A Kick Off Meeting was held to initiate project team communication • Test, test, and test some more.

  8. Benefits of 9.1 • The user interface is easier to use • Printing is a breeze • E1 Pages provides value to our Customer Service team, rolling out to other groups • We are on the current release of our enterprise applications • We are better positioned to implement EnterpriseOne Work Order Scheduling and Customer Self Service in the future.
