Highlights 2011 • Fees for track 1 • Review procedures revised to enhance electronic decision options • Guidance on criteria for baseline setting and monitoring revised to clarify use of CDM methodologies and precedence • Establishment of DFP Forum • Recommendations to CMP on options for JI post 2012 • Increase in verifications along with Track 1 fee make JI financially viable going forward • 140 million ERUs issued to date – 93 million ERUs in 2011

JISC recommendations to CMP • Single, unified verification process (single Track) • Harmonized national procedures for approval of projects • New governing body to oversee the single verification process • Unified accreditation process to accredit auditors, report to the CMP • A mixture of fees on accreditation, registration and verification

  5. Focus areas in 2012 CMP 7 Decision on JI • Parties are invited to submit their views on the revision of the JI guidelines by 16 April, 2012. Secretariat to summarize in synthesis report • The JISC is requested to • Prepare a draft set of "key attributes and transitional measures" for the future operation of JI for consideration at CMP 8 • Revise fee structure to avoid track-switching projects paying double fees JISC 28 Work Plan • Develop draft revised JI guidelines for CMP 8 • Consider draft of revised provisions for charging of fees at JISC 29
