  2. Exam Revision for CLT 2300 • The exam will be on the four Celtic countries we have studied in this course: • Scotland • Wales • Brittany • Ireland

  3. Exam Revision for CLT 2300 • There will be two sections in the exam. • Section One: Three essay-type questions. (25% each) • Section Two: There will be a choice of questions which will only require a short answer (about 4-5 lines). You will need to answer two questions here. (25%) • The exam will be marked out of 100% in the first instance.

Exam Revision for CLT 2300 • Areas of revision: • Seachd the Gaelic movie. • Scottish independence? • The growth of Welsh nationalism from Victorian ‘radicalism’ to the devolved parliament in Cardiff. • Breton movements after WWII: UDB, FLB and Adsav. • The social history of the Breton language in the 20-21st centuries.Breton education and the French Constitution. • The historical background to Ireland in the 20th century. • The revitalization of Irish in the 20-21st centuries. • The Gaeltacht.

  5. Exam Revision for CLT 2300 • For the section essay-type questions you will have a choice of topics taken from those we have just seen. You will be required to answer three. • For the section with short answers, there will be questions taken from the same areas.
