Cluster Leader Cluster Leader identified to represent the Partnership. Received training from the EA/ ETI/ Universities and Outside agencies.
Deciding on JPD areas • Needs Analysis: Staff survey to identify particular areas that staff would like training in relation to Teaching and Learning. • Meeting with HODs and Pastoral Leaders: to identify areas for professional development within departments/ pastoral areas. • Analysis of School Development Plans: identifying common needs e.g. Numeracy, Literacy, Leadership

The Aspiring Leaders Programme Building Leadership Capacity
Aspiring Leaders Programme • Liaised with Shane Comer to outline content of facilitation programme in light of feedback/needs. • Developed a bespoke leadership programme to meet the needs of the partnership schools.
Aspiring Leaders Programme • Training in relation to the following areas: • Leadership behaviours • Vision & Values • Emotional Intelligence • Developing self and working with others • Effective learning and teaching • Communication • Coaching & Mentoring • Change
Placement in a Partnership School Participants invited to use their newly acquired skills to embark on a focused piece of action research or school improvement work in one of the partnership schools.
Final Day • At the end of the ‘embedded’ visit, each participant is required to present their action research or school improvement work to the Project Board. • Presentation of Certificates. • Portfolio of work can be submitted for accreditation – recognition by third-level institutions.

Speculative costs for sustaining Year 2 15 Teachers (1 from each school) 9 days sub-cover each (6 to attend face-to face sessions, 3 to work in host school) Cost per school: £1530
How working together has added value Financial Funding available to access specialist support from Universities and other specialist organisation to potentially improve pupil outcomes.
