  3. What is Communication? • Verbal- Face-to-face, Phone Calls • Written- Emails, Texts (Group Chats) • Nonverbal- Body Language, Gestures, Appearance

  4. Professionalism & SafeKey • As a leader you must lead by example • Refrain from using profanity and inappropriate or rude comments • Builds your character in a positive way • Be respectful of yourself and others • Uphold your self-image • You represent the school, the club, the division, AND Key Club as an organization

  5. Effective Teamwork • Communication is KEY • Stay in contact, let others know you care • Benefits the group overall • Helps generate more diverse ideas • Keeps the team connected • Time-efficiently on tasks **Photo of: McNair Key Club

  6. Uncooperative Peers • Ineffective work ethics • Unable to complete assigned tasks • You cannot be helped unless you ask • Through effective communication, be sure to share or explain your situation • BEE understanding • remind members of their purpose and contributions to the team

  7. Activity • Why/What/How • Complete worksheet • Find someone with the same purpose as you • Discuss how this goal can shared to establish the importance of teamwork
