  7. Kappa Deltas all over the nation take part in what is known as Shamrock Project. During this event, each chapter takes part in a philanthropic activity of their choice. Each year our chapter holds our Shamrock Flag Football Tournament.  This year we raised over $11, 000 for Prevent Child Abuse America and other local organizations!

  8. At events in 4,800 communities nationwide, teams of families, friends and coworkers join together to CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer, REMEMBER those lost and FIGHT BACK against a disease that takes too much. Relay For Life

  9. Relay For Life was started in May 1985 in Tacoma, Washington. Dr. Gordy Klatt, a colorectal surgeon, spent 24 hours circling the track at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. He raised $27,000 for cancer research Relay For Life History

  10. This is me pulling tables for Relay for Life, and Robert holding the door for me.

Why community service is important • Community service helps people learn to help people in need. • It also helps to teach that money is not the most important thing, you can work to help someone in need. • It also helps to teach that people can help someone without expecting something in return.
