Action Item Review • 62nd IHC Action Items • 18 Action Items • 7 items closed by incorporating changes into NHOP • 1 item closed to normal staff actions • AOC agreed to investigate ways to keep the duration of Surveillance missions at least 8 hours • 4 items were Informational • Format for hurricane hotline conference calls • ICAO Tropical Cyclone Advisory bulletin • Dual tasking of P-3 aircraft • Eastern Pacific Public Advisories Issued at all Times; Issuance of Intermediate Advisories of TCs Over Land; • 6 items to be worked

Action Item Review • 62nd IHC Key Actions • Changes to TEMPDROP Message • WG accepted; implementation to be worked at April 2008 dropwindsonde meeting • Clarifying requirement for core Doppler radar • AOC will work with NCEP/EMC and NHC for recommended changes to NHOP • Once received, the changes will be incorporated in 2008 NHOP • Standardization of TC fix messages • Minor change to be incorporated in 2008 NHOP • Small team from JTWC, NESDIS, and NWS will develop recommendation for full standardization for the 2009 season

Action Item Review • 62nd IHC Key Actions • AFRC SATCOM ground station software update • AFRC and NHC will work issues and make necessary IT changes to accommodate the software update • 53rd WRS: funding to support CHAT and Winter Storm missions • OFCM will facilitate actions between NORTHCOM, AFRC, and NOAA to identify funding source(s) • OFCM will work with NOAA & AFRC to facilitate update of the Memorandum of Agreement (last updated 2000)

Action Item Review • 62nd IHC– Four Old Open Action Items • One was closed • Access to operational storm surge SLOSH output • Three still open • Expendable Bathythermograph (AXBT) Observations on Tasked Reconnaissance Missions • Status • EMC developing requirements document • OFCM will coordinate with NWS and 53rd WRS for AXBT and other associated equipment/system requirements to facilitate funding for this mission • Satellite Ocean Surface Vector Winds Operational Requirements • Status: Executive Secretary to WG/HWSOR will draft advocacy letter ASAP, on behalf of National Hurricane Forecast and Warning Program (i.e., IHC), for the Federal Coordinator’s signature to be sent to NOAA/NESDIS

Action Item Review • 62nd IHC – Four Old Open Action Items • Three still open (continued) • USDA identified need for six products to be available in GIS format from NHC • Status • Two products ready for 2008 TC season • One product not yet available; however, on requirements list for NCEP development • NWS working with USDA on the other three products (or alternative products)
