Join Rutabaga Raindrop as we explore the fascinating water cycle! From evaporation, where the sun transforms water into vapor, to transpiration, which involves plants releasing moisture, learn how water travels through nature. We’ll cover condensation, where vapor cools and forms clouds, and precipitation, when water falls back to Earth as rain or snow. Finally, discover runoff and sublimation, showcasing the continuous movement and transformation of water. Enjoy this informative tour and deepen your understanding of our planet's vital processes!

Meet Rutabaga Raindrop Hello my name is Rutabaga Raindrop! I will take you on a tour of the water cycle
Evaporation In Evaporation, the Sun heats up the water and the water turns into vapor. Then the vapor rises up into the air. That is evaporation.
Transpiration Transpiration is the process when plants give water through their leaves. This gives evaporation help getting vapor up into the air!
Condensation Condensation happens when the vapor gets cold and changes back to liquid. Then the water turns into clouds.
Precipitation Precipitation happens when a lot of water has condensed and the clouds can not hold it anymore. Then the water falls back to earth as rain, hail, sleet, or snow.
Collection/Accumulation The water falls back to Earth as precipitation. This precipitation could fall ANYWHERE!
Runoff Runoff is the movement of land water traveling to the oceans. This water can come from rivers, lakes or streams. This land water travels over the ground. It could travels over mountains!
Sublimation Sublimation is the switch from ice to gas without a liquid stage in between.
Thanks for watching Bye! I hope that you liked my power point!
