  1. DISCOVERY - DSSeries DISCOVERY series is marked by high sensitivity, reduced weight and dimensions and low costs. Every component is integrated in the aluminium head: CCD, electromechanical shutter, Peltier cooling system, electronics. DISCOVERY will offer you professional performances at cheap costs. The camera is connected to the PC by means of a bi-directional parallel port. This series uses Kodak KAF CCD, displaying a wide range of resolutions and pixels dimensions. The sensors are front-illuminated, supported by an excellent quantum efficiency. All of them (apart from those with the anti-blooming option) can offer a 100% fill factor, allowing one to shoot marvellous images! Among the main application fields: Astronomy, Plasma Physics. SPECIFICATIONS “E” is the Enhanced (ITO) version. The values concerning Quantum Efficiency, Full Well Capacity and Dark Current have to be considered as typical. On request, it can mount coating and/or double coating windows with non parallel faces and windows in Berillium with X-ray scintillator screen. • The standard system includes: • - assembled unit in light alloy with threaded C input; • PC parallel link cable of 2.5 m; • 8-bit parallel interface; • software for image grab and processing under Windows 95/98/Me on parallel port (already provided) or under Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP with optional PCI interface; • 230 V power supply (optional, not included); • case, manual with test report and 24 months of warranty.
