  2. Meeting Journals • At every meeting you should take notes about what we talk about. WRITE THESE DOWN! • Take the meeting notes and put them into your journal in the diary section!!!

  3. Journal Set Up • Cover Page • Students' Names, Engineering Design Project, “Rescue Robot”, Teacher Name • 5 dividers • Neat and Organized • Lots of pictures and drawings showing the evolution of your robot

  4. Journal Set Up • 5 dividers labeled: • 1. Sponsor Page & Table of Contents • 2. Diary • Ordered by date, write something EVERY TIME you do/talk/work on robot • 3. Cost Record • 4. Design and Testing • Design ideas, sketches, pictures, testing log, ideas from research • 5. Bibliography and Research Information • Annotated bibliography -APA format

  5. Journal Checks • Journal Check will include • Meeting information (what we talked about, or did at the meeting) • Any work you have done on your robot or journal • Any ideas you had for your robot or journal • Anything that we did in class. • Reflection over assignments that you have turned in or testing with your robot.

  6. RESEARCH • Your journal is 50% of the competition. • Research is 50% of the journal “grade”. • Research is 25% of the entire competition. • We need more Research!

  7. Partner Commitment • You have made a commitment to robotics. • DO NOT be a bad partner • ALL grades are given individually. • Teachers are not responsible for setting up meetings with partners. • You each do your own journal. • You have one robot per group.
