  5. Our 3 approaches for interoperability • Native support for standards • Support for international efforts • Eg. IHE www.ihe.org, HL7 • Local ITK cooperation

  6. Native support for standards • Health-specific integration products • Native libraries of common protocols • HL7 2.x & 3.x , XML, etc. etc. • Re-useable communication points • Exportable interface configurations

  7. Support for international efforts • Rhapsody: now an FDA Class I medical device • IHE • Connectathons in Europe and USA • IHE profiles now in use in France for the national EHR interoperability standard
