World famous places like St.Mark‘s Square, The Grand Canal, the Doge‘s Palace, Palazzo Grassi, the Rialto Bridge, the Guggenheim Museum give the fantastic opportunity to combine a golf holiday with unique cultural emotions.

The famous Piazza delle Erbe stands on the old Roman forum just inside the old town. Spanning 372 km² lake Garda is the most frequented lake in Northern italy. The beautiness of the landscape, the wine and the food combined with genuine olive oil are a reason to come and see. Gardaland is the Italian answer of Disneyland. Not only for children!

  7. The Golf Districts • Padua and the Thermal Spas The university turned Padua into one of the great centers of European culture. Galileo Galilei founded here the freedom to teach. The Basilica of Holy Antony attracts thousands of pilgrims every year. Notable artworks of Giotto, Donatello and Mantegna made it to the Italian Capital of the 14th and 15th century art. The cone shaped Euganean volcanic hills stand for Thermal holidays. After the round of golf people enjoy mud treatments and swim into thermal pools.

  8. The Golf Districts • Treviso and the Prosecco hills A medieval town with old walls and the Piazza dei Signori as the heart of it. Due ist complexe canal system some tourist may remind the garden of Venice. Dante, the famous Italian poet mentions one of the bridges in his Divina Commedia. You will find a huge amount of trattorias offering Prosecco. It is an excellent sparkling wine that reflects exactly what the Italians stand for – flair, excitement, taste and inspiration.

  9. The Golf Districts • Vicenza and the Palladio Villas Its longstanding tradition of producing wool and silk has resulted in one of the most important textile clusters in Italy. The City of Palladio -a worldfamous medieval architect - was designed as a UNESCO World heritage site in 1994.The villas he build just outside the town are really unique. The Colli Berici extend south of the old Town for 13km. Asiago and the Plateau of the Sette Comuni becomes a popular summer holiday winter & summer resort.

The Golf Districts The Dolomite Mountains- The Veneto Alps The fame of Cortina was discovered by tourists as long ago as 1860. 110km of alpineski slopes and 60km of crosscountry ski trails made it one of the most famous resorts. In the summer open also for golfers.The protected natural area covers 11,200 ha. Belluno is the main town of the Dolomites.

  11. The Golf Districts • Rovigo & The Natural National Park of the Po Delta The Po Delta is the most famous attraction. It brings the water through five arms and 14 estauries spread over an area of 400km² to the Adriatic Sea allowing a unique natural environment. Rovigo and the Natural park of the Polesine are the main attractions.

Planned activities • We are currently preparing a master plan for promoting the golf product in Veneto for the coming years, we have the backing of the government who is committed to help us and we are also determined to make the best use of all available communication devices. • In particular we feel the use of the internet is going to be of huge benefit, providing it complements the use of more traditional types of communication. The internet is crucial and one of our main tasks is to get the tour operators, golf courses, golf resorts hotels and tourist boards, working closely together for the future. • The plan will include an active press relations campaign, advertising, event management, golf exhibitions in the Veneto region, direct marketing as well as fam and press trips.
