  3. 2012-13 WES Improvement Initiatives • Implement the new ELA and Math curriculum (CCGPS- Common Core Georgia Performance Standards • 46 states have adopted the new curriculum • Improving the overall quality of the academic program • ValuTeachers Students of the Month program • Perfect Attendance Awards • Increase the use and types of technology in the classrooms • Use the website more effectively to provide information to stakeholders • Improve the appearance of the school

Reminders • School start time is 7:40 am • Annual Title I Parent Meeting- 6:00 pm, Sep. 10 at CES • Central Cluster Annual Report Night will be 6:00 pm on Oct. 1 at Central High School. • Science Night, Oct. 9, 6:00-7:30 pm at Central Middle • Next PTO meeting- Oct. 25, 6:30 pm • Officer elections will be taking place
