Introduction • AviAMP’s ROME stands for ‘record of maintenance experience’ and is designed as an alternative to the hard-copy log books that aircraft maintenance personnel currently have to carry around to record and demonstrate their maintenance experience. • It is available to all aircraft maintenance personnel who work to the Air Transport Association’s ATA Spec 100 maintenance manuals. • You will be able to record, save and display in PDF format all the entries that you make. These entries can be displayed in one or more presentations for your personal use and you may also have these presentations available for our searching employers to view if selected in your privacy settings. • The PDF version can be printed for an authorisation signature for presentation to your quality departments or aviation authority, as authenticated proof of your work experience, for licence issue or renewal, addition of type ratings and for issue or renewal of company approvals. They will also be of value to your future employer.

  3. ROME Presentation To create a presentation click on the Presentations link Then select New ROME presentation

  4. ROME Presentation On the New ROME presentation page you can create different presentations You can order your entries into Aircraft Type, ATA Chapter or date of task etc Type in your required title and select from the drop down you preferred display order Select Save

ROME Presentation Now go back to your ROME Logs summary page and arrange the entries that you want to add to the presentation Clicking on any of the grey title headers will shuffle the entries to that selection Further options of display can be made by typing in the white boxes below the grey ones. Typing in Boe for instance will only show Boeings You also have an option to increase or decrease the amount of entries in view by selecting Page size

  6. ROME Presentation At the bottom of the ROME Logs page, select the required presentation from the list available

  7. ROME Presentation Select the log entries that you would like to add to your presentation by using the tick boxes Click Add

  8. ROME Presentation You can now see all the log entries that you have in your presentation You can add a Referee for all the entries on this presentation by using the function at the bottom right Select show PDF to print off for signatures

Log entry and Presentation Tips • If you did not carry out the task on a live aircraft, type ‘NON’ in the aircraft field and select ‘Non-Aircraft” • If you do not know the ATA chapter, entering the code ‘00 00 00’ will show NONE KNOWN • Entering the second and third boxes ‘00 00’ will show the Chapter title and the sub-chapter as ‘GENERAL’ • Enter any task card details in the Additional Information field • Entering the ATA chapter code ’05 05 00’ will show ‘TIME LIMITS/MAINTENANCE CHECKS’ enter this and state the type of task; Daily, Weekly inspection or A check CRS for example in the Additional Information field

Advantages of AviAMP ROME • You cannot shuffle and store in multiple presentations (ATA order, Date of Task, Aircraft Type, etc) on a hand written or word/excel document with a few clicks of a mouse. On AviAMP ROME you can • You have to have your pc/laptop to hand to store information, or have access to a computer where you can safely insert your USB memory stick. ROME is available anywhere, anytime through our secure server • It is always possible that you could lose your data though computer crash or losing your memory stick. Our data is stored on our own secure server in central London and is backed up to a remote server outside London every day • You cannot (without a lot of time) customise presentations for your needs
