What Seneca has to offer… • Location (2 campuses in York Region, 2 campuses in North York) • Broad Range of Programs that cover all areas of college education and… • …unique programs not found at all other colleges (ex: BCD, BTR, Aviation, Underwater Skills)
Seneca Disability Services • Counsellors -accommodations, advocacy, support, bursary funding • Learning Strategist/Assistive Technologist -study skills, time management, organization, assistive technology training • Psycho-educational Clinic -updated psycho-educational reports
Typical Accommodations for Students with LD • Test accommodations: -quiet room, extra time, use of computer, specialized software, scribes, readers • Additional time for assignments/projects • Access to assistive technology for use in classroom or at home (Dragon, Kurzweil, Inspiration etc.) • Access to e-books • Tutoring and note taking • Reduced Course Load
Differences Between High School and College Disability Services • You are responsible for seeking out services you require (see handout) • No modification of program

Financial Aid • Entrance Scholarships (automatically considered) • OSAP (government loan program) -Self identify as having a disability to receive: • automatic $2000 grant/year • access to Bursary for Students with Disabilities (up to $10,000 for specific needs ex: AT) • Tuition Bursary (apply through SIRIS after accepted) For more info: Financial Aid/OSAP websites listed in handout
