  3. Data by Building… Assessment Data available: • ISAT and PSAE • SAT-10 • DIBELS • APRENDA • ACCESS • EXPLORE, PLAN, ACT Highlighting recent SAT-10 data for Elementary…. EXPLORE & PLAN for Secondary…

  4. Report 6…Choose year parameters Choose a beginning and ending year if wanting multiple years of data….or the same year for both if wanting only one year of data… i.e. ..Assessments given anytime in 2008-2009 year are 2009.

  5. Report 6…Choose Assessment Subject (Score or Subscore level) Choose an Assessment Subject …Test (ex: SAT-10), Score level (ex: Reading), orSubscore level (ex: Comprehension)

  6. Report 6…Choose Subgroup If wanting to look at “all” students, you do not need to choose a subgroup (blank)….otherwise choose the subgroup to disaggregate data….

  7. Report 6…Choose grade level(s) Choose to select an individual grade level to look at or multiple grade levels….

  8. Report 6…Grade as a subgroup In “treating grade as a subgroup” you choose “No” to aggregate data or “Yes” to disaggregate the data into separate bars for each grade level chosen…

  9. Report 6…Pick Parameters to show Group Percentages

  11. Report 6….Pick Parameters to show subscores Only Change here to choose another score or subscore….

Hands-on Activity • Use Report 6 in IlliniData to access and explore Building Level Data from recent assessments… • ex: What percentage of students met expectations in • SAT-10 Reading • SAT-10 Comprehension • EXPLORE Reading • EXPLORE Usage and Mechanics • DIBELS ORF • PLAN Math • PLAN Algebra • Etc…

Hands-0n Activity • Use Report 1 to access the Student Assessment Summary for the students you teach…. • Sort by any one of the columns on the report. • Search for a particular student. • Access additional information about a particular student by going from the report to that student’s Student Profile. • Export this data to an EXCEL file. • Custom sort by IEP status • (Tip: Delete first row – the title row)

  17. Report 2…Choose Class Parameters For Elementary & BJHS choose a “Full Year”…. For BHS choose a “Semester”…. unless your class is a “Quarter” length class

  18. Report 2… Choose Assessment Subject (Score or Subscore level) Choose to view data from an Assessment Subject…score level (ex: Math or Reading) or subscore level (ex: Problem Solving or Comprehension)

  19. Report 2…Choose class of students Choose the “course” or class of students that you teach for which you wish to see data….

  20. Report 2…Class Benchmark ScoresSAT-10 Reading NCE by specific class The names of students in the class appear here…

Hands-on Activity • Use Report 2 to run class reports for various Assessment Subjects … • Score level Math Social Science Reading/English Science • Subscore level Problem Solving Comprehension Vocabulary Algebra Geometry Spelling Usage/Mechanics Reading Strategies ORF Language Literature Conventions Etc….

Essential Questions • Essential Questions: (Classroom Problem-Solving Form) • Are 80% of the students in your class meeting expectations on each assessment subject measure? • If the data indicates that the core instruction needs to be adjusted, what changes will be made? • Differentiated instruction • Varied instructional strategy/delivery methods • Small groups…partner activities….peer support • Supplemental resources and activities • How Curriculum is used • Time and intensity of concepts • Reading in the Content Areas
