English Ideal Staff Profiles and Job Roles 2nd in Department (to help produce KS3 Development Plan) (TLR 2C) Profile: Ambitious Male 26-35 (TLR Degree in English Language/Literature, Strong discipline, organisational skills, experienced in both KS2, 3 and 4, ICT skills, specialising in outstanding TEEP focused teaching in KS3. Lit- Co(To help produce Literacy Across The Curriculum Development Plan) (TLR 2B) Profile: Ambitious Female 26-35 Strong Degree in English Language/Lit, Strong organisational skills, experienced in both KS2, 3 and 4, ICT skills, specialising in child literacy. and literacy across the curriculum. Drama Link (unpaid for a year after attaining QTS then TLR2A) Profile: Female Under 25/NQT/GTP Degree in English with Drama with strong speaking and listening skills and experience, organisational skills as will be responsible for trips, lively, energetic, integrating drama in schemes of work in KS3 and SPL activities. Media/ICT Link (unpaid for a year after attaining QTS then TLR2A) Profile: Male Under 25/NQT Degree in Media/ICT, excellent ICT skills, outstanding ICT use in English, be effective link to ICT/media studies department Community Languages/EAL Link (To produce EAL Development Plan) (TLR 2A) Profile: Male/Female From Abroad/ Studied Literacy at University/EAL, fluent, clear English speaker of recognisable ethnic background to children Organisational skills, try to raise EAL to Level 4. EAL induction programme and ‘buddy reading’ . KS5 Co-ordinator (To take charge of KS5) (TLR 2B) Profile: Male/Female Experienced and specialising in KS5, having ideally worked at a 6th form college in Birmingham such as JMC, Matthew Boulton or similar institutions. Literature Co-ordinator (TLR 2A) Profile: Male/Female, more experienced member of the team in terms of Literature. Possibly an OCR marker? Passionate about writing. KS2/KS3 Functional Skills (TLR 2A) Profile: Male/Female, slightly experienced in Revised Curriculum. Trained in KS2/3 English. Other Important Team Members: SENCO and LIBRARIAN, SMT and LMs
