Luxaflex Window Fashions QMotion Battery replacement guilde QMotion Battery information and replacement For Luxaflex Window Fashions QMotion Battery Roller Shades, battery life expectations will vary based on various factors, including size and usage of motorized shades. Replace all batteries at the same time using only new Panasonic or Duracell* D-Cell Alkaline batteries. We expect you to get 5 years from your batteries, if you use the blinds twice a day. When automated shades begin to run slower, or you are otherwise ready to change batteries, you can follow these simple procedures to get the job done. You can trust Perth Eagle Blinds to help you with all you blinds advise and needs. Est.1983 Remove shade from brackets. Look for battery tube label and pull battery tube from shade. Carefully pull the base rail Down in one continuous motion until the battery window is exposed. Ensure manual operation is deactivated by tugging the shade or turning the tube. If deactivated, remove the battery cover to expose battery access. Using the remote, move the shade to the Down position. If the shades batteries are completely depleted, you may skip to step 3. Tug the shade past the Down position. The shade will then automatically reverse direction and move to the 75% position. Unscrew battery tube cap (counter clock- wise) and remove all batteries from the battery sleeve. ALWAYS REPLACE ALL BATTERIES. You will need ‘D’ alkaline batteries. Note battery orientation on outside label of tube. Replace sleeve and batteries into battery tube and reinstall battery tube into shade. Take care to align ridges of battery tube to the slots of the shade tube. No need to reprogram, your QMotion shade remembers the original settings. Reinstall the battery cover flush with the shade tube. Press any button. The shade moves to the Up position. The shade will now resume normal operation. All positions are recovered from memory. Replace all batteries with fresh D-Cell alkaline batteries. Always use the same brand and manufacturing date.
