  1. Increased Awareness on Health and Hygiene to Influx Demand for Termite Detection The outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its rampant spread worldwide have increased the practice of sanitization and disinfection. The increase has subsequently increased the demand for termite detection both at homes and at workplaces. A certified termite inspector is trained and qualified to determine for sure if a home has termites. Home is an investment that should be safeguarded from damage and this is exactly what a pest control and termite inspection do. Termite is a silent pest that can infest home for years without detection a colony of termites weaken the support beams and damage the load-bearing walls. This kind of damage often gets difficult and sometimes impossible to fix. Thermal cameras are known to find termites, but only if there is a colony hiding in the walls. They are not very good at finding the start of termites. Moreover, a hot day makes the walls of the home warm. In such a case, if the walls are the same temperature as the colony, nothing gets detected. This makes a few companies utilize various methods and equipment to determine the presence of pests and termites. Thermal imaging is a non-contact procedure as the camera passively reads the surface temperature of the surface it is pointed. It is a tool that should be used in conjunction with a visual inspection. Images are obtained without disturbing the structure does not touch or affect the surface, and there is no need to punch holes, change structures or disturb nests. When technology is used in building inspection, these can include moisture damage, air leaks, electrical problems or in many case pest infestation. The sensors of FLIR E6 can detect problems that other termite detection equipment won't necessarily pick up, making termite thermal imaging a useful tool in detection.
