  3. Working at Goodwill • At the store my main job was sorting through the donations with Shun.

  4. Sorting Through the Donations When I was sorting through donations, I had to separate all clothes, shoes, glassware, kitchenware, and miscellaneous objects.

  5. Clean Up Duty • I also had to gather all of the empty boxes and trash while sorting through donations.

  6. Taking out the Trash • When taking out the trash I had to dump all of the clothes, books, movies, and or whatever the staff considered to be trash in a huge dumpster in the back of the store.

  7. Moving the Sorted Material • After sorting the donations, I had to put all the clothes into a giant blue containers for further sorting.

  8. Community Service Reflections • After completing 8 hours of hard community service in one day, I really felt a sense of what community service is all about. I found that it isn’t so much what you are doing, but just the sheer fact that you are doing something just to help out on your own time just to help out those in need.

  9. Community Service Reflections • Community service has a new face in my book today. It is no longer punishment for getting in trouble to me, but instead a way of giving something back to the community that will help others throughout the community.
