Definition: Auxiliary Power Unit An Auxiliary Power Unit is a single piece of equipment that provides coverage for the four common idling scenarios. • Also provides backup air conditioning and charging systems in case of certain truck system failures. • Fully integrates with on-board equipment.   17. Pony Pack Operation • The Pony Pack provides: • Cab and sleeper heating as if the truck were running. • Cab and sleeper air conditioning as if the truck were running. • Engine warming. • 110 amps of DC power for battery charging and accessory operation. Pony Pack, Inc. 2004
