Facts • Pregnancy is 100% preventable! • Condoms are 97% effective if used correctly and consistently. • By using birth control consistently and correctly you can prevent a pregnancy, but most methods do not protect against STD’s. • 110 teen girls become pregnant everyday in NYS. • 8 out of 10 teen fathers don’t marry the mother of their child. • Fewer than 3% of teen mothers will graduate from college by age 30.
