Soldier Paintings • The following paintings were done during the Great War by soldiers fighting on both sides (Allied & Central). • No war has seen so much of an outpouring in the area of arts, whether it be art, paintings, poetry, literature, etc. • Your job is to look at the art in the following slides and pick four from the ten to write about. • Try to image what it might have been like for soldiers on either side when viewing these to help you understand their point of view on the war. This might aid in your overall comprehension of the war itself and its historical importance for any generation.
