  3. What Is Commendable Conduct Before God? • To Suffer Patiently When Mistreated for Doing Good – 2 Peter 2:20 • Is this Only for a Master-Slave Relationship? 1 Peter 3:14,14,17; 1 Peter 2:13; 3:1; Ephesians 5:21

  4. Why Is This Conduct Commendable Before God? • We Were Called For This Very Purpose – 1 Peter 2:21-23; 3:9; Luke 6:27-36 • In View of the Potential Good That Can Result – 1 Peter 2:24,25; Romans 12:19-21

How Can We Be Sure To Have This Commendable Conduct? • “Rejoice” that you are counted worthy to suffer – 1 Peter 4:1; Acts 5:41; Matthew 5:10-12 • “Resist “the temptation to retaliate – 1 Peter 5:8,9 • “Respond” to mistreatment by doing more good- 1 Peter 3:9; Romans 12:20,21; 1 Peter 2:19 • “Rely” on God – 1 Peter 2:23; 4:19; Romans 12:19; 2 Thessalonians 1:6
