Funny Car Overview What is Funny Car? • Funny Car is a type of drag racing vehicle and a specific racing class in organized drag racing. • Similar to their Top Fuel counterparts but with a shorter wheelbase and the engine is in front of the driver • Carbon-fiber body that loosely resembles a production-based automobile • Cover the drag strip in 4 seconds and can exceed 315 mph • The first funny cars were built in the mid-1960s
