  11. Regents Exams Students must pass all regents exams with a 65 for a Regents Diploma

  12. It all starts with a Hauppauge High School schedule…

  13. Student Schedule consists of: • A nine period day • 7.5 credits or units of study and lunch

  14. Schedule will include: • English • Global History • Mathematics • Science • Lab/PE • LOTE • Lunch • Health/Elective • Course to meet Art/Music requirement

  15. Schedule Adjustments • AIS/Academic Intervention Services • Special Education Service

  16. Scheduling Process • Ms. Moran will be in LOTE classroom 1/21-1/24 to describe the academic requirements for a high school diploma. • Students will complete a worksheet with the academics they consider to be a best fit for them. • Ms. Moran will be back in the classroom in February to describe the electives available to students. • Course selections will be added to Infinite Campus during this session.

  17. Parents and students will be able to view course selections on Infinite Campus. Changes can be made! • Teacher recommendations will be completed after the second marking period. • Parents and students will be invited to an individual scheduling meeting with Mr. Foster in order to review course selections in March or April.

International Baccalaureate • A two-year diploma program for students beginning in grade 11 • A six-discipline integrated program that requires students to apply learned skills • IB program includes: Extended Essay , Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Action, & Service • Allows each student to design a program of study based on his/her strengths • Develops skills in all content areas

Rank • Each course is assigned a level in the course guide. • Level 3: Regents • Level 4: Honors • Level 5: College • Level 6: AP/IB • There are quality points added to each final grade for course in Levels 4, 5 & 6 • A weighted GPA is calculated based on credit value and quality points • Rank will be calculated in the Fall of the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades
