Headlines of the CIRENSE project proposal [1] Objectives WP3: • Getting knowledge and updated status of current NREN activities [large-scale survey] • Identifying fruitful services for European NREN markets [survey analysis, workshop & pilots] • Coordinating and supporting initial phase of NREN service exchange [establishing trust between partners & tools for partnerships]

Headlines of the CIRENSE project proposal [2] Objectives WP4: • Understanding of European legal framework and the boundaries for activities [identification of legal pitfalls] • Investigation of procurement and contractual issues [European procurement regulation & national exceptions] • Providing suitable and feasible agreement models [draft contracts & SLA’s]

Headlines of the CIRENSE project proposal [3] Objectives WP5: • Identifying the economical and policy landscape for inter-NREN service delivering [identifying key drivers & key problems/risks] • Understanding the role of commercial companies [identify innovative ways to cooperate with companies] • Finding suitable NREN service models [work out business-models including “barter concept”]

Questions • Which elements of the CIRENSE proposal are still relevant? • Which elements have been addressed in the meantime (by TERENA, DANTE, NORDUnet, TF-MSP etc.) and which are still to be explored? • Do we see sufficient potential for a follow-up on the remaining issues? • Any volunteers? ;-)
