  3. What are you hoping to get from the session? • My Biggest Problem is…sheet

  4. What have we been doing?The History and Structure • A Teaching and E-learning Improvement Manager and a Library Manager working closely together • “Band B” for Digital Literacy in each School • E-Learning Team with a focus on staff development, training and support • Teaching and Learning Coaches, developing their confidence in e-learning, working in tandem with our “Band Bs” • An e-learning strategy with joined up bidding processes with IT and e-Learning staff working together

What are we doing for Staff?The “Small Change” concept • Small Change – Big Difference and Small Change Reloaded • Small Change Moodle page • “How to..” sessions for TLCs • Moodle page for Band Bs to exchange best practice • On-line “How to..” guides • E-learning team, TLCs and Band Bs working together • ASPDR targets

What are we working on for students? • Blended, Flipped and On-line Learning Projects • Film projects that have promoted reflective practice in our joinery students and supported sustainability and employability • E-books and PageFlip books • QR codes, Augmented Reality • Moodle Developments • Moodle Page of the Month

  7. What are we proud of? • Our awards, TES, ALT, CAVTL/Ofsted and LSIS Best Practice • Our staff being really brave- using Socrative, Edmodo, Twitter, developing their VLE pages • Presenting for JISC, AoC and ETF • Involvement with FE Teachmeet

  8. What’s left to do? • Film projects- disseminating a model that works for psychomotor learning. Pageflip, QR codes and augmented reality! • Continuing use of coaching as a tool to build confidence and ownership of change • The Playpen and Small Change • Student Leaders for e-Learning

  9. Turning the corner Here are some of the ideas which have helped our teachers to “turn the corner” • W is for white and B is for black • Finding the pointer tools on PowerPoint • Finding the graph paper on the IWB • Making a film using Movie maker • Taking photos of flip charts for next lesson • Finding that e-books stop library excuses

  10. Turning the corner :activity • Is there a simple tool that could help a teacher solve a problem in your organisation and maybe move on a stage?
