Hanging with Picasso: Arts Alive in St. Johns County School District

Join the students of PVPV Rawlings Elementary School in Ponte Vedra, Florida, as they are inspired by Picasso's Blue Period, Rose Period, and Cubist style. This project, "Three Musicians" by Picasso in 1921, showcases the talents of K–5th grade students, giving them a creative outlet and supporting arts education in the St. Johns County School District. Arts Alive aims to raise funds and combat budget cuts to enhance arts education, empowering students to explore their artistic talents in the classroom.

  17. Hanging with Picasso • Arts Alive was designed to give students and teachers in St. Johns County a creative outlet while simultaneously raising funds for arts education in our county. • With budget cuts being made every year, art classes were becoming less frequent and students weren’t having the opportunity to explore their talents in the classroom.

  18. St. Johns County Education Foundation • The SJCEF wanted to combat those changes and raise the money needed to enhance arts education in St. Johns County schools. • What better way to do that, than to show off the potential that students in our county have!
